Aromatherapy Induction of Labour and Mindfulness Session

Aromatherapy induction of labour involves the strategic use of essential oils to support relaxation and aid the natural onset of labour. We will complete a home visit after 37 weeks where you can relax and we can use aromatherapy, acupressure and mindfulness techniques. We will guide you through a mindfulness practice incorporating hypnobirthing, to help your mind and body feel ready to meet your baby. Essential oils such as Cary Sage and Lavender possess properties that can stimulate uterine contractions and help relieve stress and tension. When used in a controlled and monitored manner, aromatherapy can create a calming atmosphere; reducing anxiety and encouraging a positive mindset. Research shows the inhalation and topical application of these carefully selected scents can help start labour, promote hormonal balance and support the body’s readiness for childbirth.
